So it's been a really long time since I've written an email so here's an update for you guys. Since I've written last: I finished training sister glass (LOVE HER), then I was companions with Sister gunderson and had so much fun with her (I LOVE HER TOO), then I got transferred to Lawrence Kansas with Sister Rollins (LOVE HER SOOO MUCH) We had such an amazing transfer and we worked so hard! And now I'm training sister Taylor here in Lawrence and it has been amazing! I officially hit 1 year as a missionary a couple weeks ago! We have some super amazing friends we are teaching that are considering baptism right now, so please keep them in your prayers! Bob: we knocked on his door a few weeks ago and he was willing to listen to us! Then, the exterminators came to spray his apartment so we had to leave before we finished our message! We told him we would come back the next day. BUT we tried to go back and the road to his building was under consteuction and we couldn't find a way around it. We finally found a way around it a couple weeks later and Bob was so happy to see us! He told us that he had been praying for an opportunity to get back into a church that aligns with his beliefs. And he had been praying for us to come back! He's come to church these past few weeks and loves it! He's on date for baptism Aug 26, so pray for Bob! Terry: we have been teaching Terry for a couple of transfers now. He has already read the Book of Mormon twice and has such an amazing testimony! He is so kind, we love him so much! He is praying about a baptismal date, so pray for Terry too! Lee: we love Lee so much! He has been meeting with missionaries for about a year now and is working towards baptism! There has just been a few complications, but Lee is so close to getting baptized and he wants it so bad. So please pray for Lee too, because he's literally so amazing and deserves the whole world! We have been working so hard in this area! We've seen so many miracles and definitely feeling the Lord strengthen us each and everyday. We are finding a lot of people to teach the gospel to and serving so much! It seems like everyone is either moving from or moving into Lawrence Kansas and we are the moving crew! The weather has been super weird! Sometimes it's super hot and humid and sometimes it's only 70 degrees. So yeah, Kansas is the coolest and I love it here! Missionary work is definitely challenging but so fun and so worth it! I love you all and would love to hear from you!❤️ Love, Sister Shumway
