Woaah we're half way there! Inbox Lila Shumway Mon, Apr 24, 11:58 AM to me Google photos link: https://photos.app.goo.gl/oN9FXxgjYYKphHnw8 Hey everyone! This was a crazy week! You might be able to guess from my title, but this week will be my nine month anniversary of being set apart as a missionary! It has been the most amazing and challenging experience of my life and I can't wait for the next nine months! So I can never remember what happens on Tuesday, so we'll start with Wednesday! We had DCM and deep cleaned our apartment (it's a requirement to deep clean the Wednesday before transfers). And then we met Breshaun!! Breshaun is so cool and so excited to start rebuilding his relationship with God. He is so excited to read the Book of Mormon and start coming to church regularly. So we are so excited about breshaun! He and his family could use lots of prayers though, so if you could pray for him, that would be amazing! Thursday we met Marva! Marva was found by the elders in our ward, but she is an elderly, single woman so they wanted Sister Glass and I to go visit her! We show up to her house and Marva is just the sweetest little old lady. She was telling us about how she recently had a couple heart attacks and heart surgeries, and she told us how she misses her husband who passed away 4 years ago. We talked to her for maybe 5 minutes and we were about to say goodbye when Marva suddenly gives us a blank stare and starts muttering something over and over again. THEN THIS WOMAN COLLAPSES AND FALLS OUT OF HER DOORWAY. I panicked thinking this poor old lady is going to die because we gave her a heart attack. Thankfully, Sister Glass has her CNA license and used to work at an assisted living care facility with memory care patients. So picking marva up off of her porch was not her first rodeo. We helped marva back into her house and sat her in the front room. She came back to it after a little while and we said a prayer and left. Fridays we always go to Sister Knopf's house and we walk her dog for her as service! After we walk the dog, we share a spiritual message with Sister Knopf. She told us that she was assigned to speak in sacrament meeting on Sunday, but she hasn't been feeling well. We suggested that she should call the bishopric and give them a heads up so they can have a back-up speaker. Well lo and behold we get a call from the bishopric Friday night asking us to speak Sunday because the assigned speaker isn't feeling well🙃so that was fun and it went way better than I expected! Saturday we went on exchanges with the STLs which is always so fun! I went with Sister nordhoff! This morning we received transfer news! Sister Glass is getting transferred and I am very upset about it! I have loved being Sister Glass' follow-up trainer and she is so amazing. But the Lord needs her in a different area at this time! Elder uchtdorf> He Will Place You on His Shoulders and Carry You Home "...what must the sheep do to qualify for this divine help?... Does it need to be able to use a GPS to define its position?... Does the sheep need endorsements by a sponsor before the Good Shepherd will come to the rescue? No. Certainly not! The sheep is worthy of divine rescue simply because it is loved by the Good Shepherd." ♡♡♡ I love you all and would love to hear from you! Feel free to email me or shoot me a message on FB messenger! Livin' on a prayer, Sister Shumway
